- Immanuel Lutheran School offers a comprehensive educational program for students in preschool through eighth grade and is accredited by NLSA and recognized by the state of Illinois. Beginning with preschool programming which incorporates academics, social/emotional development and play, Immanuel prepares its students for success. Early childhood classes offer great adult/student ratios with a teacher and an aide in every class, allowing our certified teaching staff to meet students where they are and inspire them to grow. Middle grades encourage greater student responsibility for learning and increased opportunities for extracurriculars. Middle school follows a junior high school model with departmentalized instruction and switching classes as well as competitive athletics, drama and music. As part of the Lutheran Schools system, Immanuel participates in conference and state level competition in athletics, academics and music, affording a high level of rigor to our students. The overall environment at ILS is welcoming and encourages families to get involved in serving and socializing. While many of our families belong to Immanuel Lutheran Church, membership is not required. We encourage families to partner with us in leading the children to live lives of faith both while enrolled at Immanuel and afterward.

I graduated from Immanuel about 15 years ago, and my family has been students for generations. The teachers are top quality, the education put us far ahead of a lot of our peers when we reached high school, and the congregation is really involved in the wellbeing of the students. I am thankful I had the opportunity to go here and believe it contributed a lot to not only my spiritual health but my professional success.
