Mater Dolorosa school is everything I could ask for in a school. The new principal, Mrs. Wisinger is doing a wonderful job. The school is a family. They truly care about their students and their families. The teachers are able to spend the time they need to, to give your child the attention they need to understand their studies. Everyone knows each other, students and teachers alike. And they are more affordable than any other catholic or private school in the area. There is no tolerance for bullying or teasing. Infact, it really touched my heart to see the way children that needed special attention were so accepted, included and cared about by the other students. You don't often see that. We recently moved and had to leave the family at Mater Dolorosa. We are all very sad to leave. My children cried their eyes out because they felt like they were leaving their family. If our situation changes, we will do anything to make it back to them. Also I wanted to mention the christian aspect of the school. My children were really taught to be kind, loving, accepting, christian children. It starts at home, but school can be just as influencing from their priest, teachers, and their peers. On Wednesday children's mass was wonderful. Father Howard talks and interacts with the children. He makes them want to participate in mass and in wanting to live as a Christian. I wish their was a children's mass on the weekend or after school. We would definitely go. Saying goodbye to our family there is very hard. Hopefully we can make our way back soon. I couldn't recommend this school more if you want your children to have an excellent education and a home away from home.
Thanks to everyone at Mater Dolorosa. We miss you!

Small class sizes are great. Teachers spent quality time with my child and really got to know her as a person. She is graduating from MDS and we are so going to miss the family environment, christian values and core education that Mater Dolorosa offers. Many schools offer lots of bells and whistles, but this is the school for you if you are a parent who cares about a well rounded education for your child. We will miss you MDS!
