St. Joseph School

1940 S 77th St
Lincoln, NE 68506
An Atmosphere of Christian Joy and Academic Excellence" was the goal established for St. Joseph School when it opened its doors on August 24, 1979, with 65 students in grades kindergarten through third, in a building of ten classrooms.
Our founding pastor was Msgr. Thomas Holoman. The facility has grown considerably since those days! Two major additions have taken place in 1984 and 1990.
These additions now provide a complex of 18 classrooms (preschool through grade eight), and rooms for specialty classes (including art, band, computer, science and vocal music), a media center/library, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and two resource rooms.
The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, served our school for its first ten years.
The School Sisters of Christ the King, a diocesan order dedicated to the teaching apostate, continued their work, and have remained with us.
Father Liam Barr is our pastor. Our school continues to grow! Our present student enrollment is over 550 students.
